Leanne Schulz

As a master teacher, choreographer, and adjudicator, I have traveled nationwide inspiring and sharing my passion and skill for dance. Beginning dance education at a young age, I have over 30 years of training and knowledge of the dance industry. I began instructing and choreographing at age 17 and have been recognized nationally for my choreographic work. I teach all styles and ages with a comprehensive background in jazz, tap, musical theatre, contemporary, lyrical, hip-hop, and ballet. Work for the entertainment industry includes Six Flags Over Texas, Dallas Summer Musicals, Texas State Lottery, the Design Industry of Fighting AIDS, Miss Texas & Miss Outstanding Teen Texas Programs, Musical Theatre International and the TLC network. Full length Musical theatre works include “Footloose”, Gershwin’s “Crazy for You”, the “Sound of Music”, "Do You Wanna Dance", "School of Rock", and "Strong Wings Fly". In 2012 I was given the "Woman of Achievement Award" for the Miss Texas Organization. Touring with companies such Dance Olympus / Dance America I have taught master classes in Boston, Chicago, New York, Las Vegas, Omaha, Houston, and Tyler, Texas. Commitment to my craft has launched a career of instruction and choreography where I strive to be innovative, exciting, and progressive. If you asked me what I think makes me a different a teacher I would tell you that connection, enthusiasm and the artistic way to reach each individual dancer through education is where it's at. I've watched dancers thrive and develop their skills under these guidelines and I'm so proud of each and every dancer who has been a part of my teaching experience. Whether I was teaching them, or they were teaching me without knowing.
